Mental Health America of Wisconsin (MHA) is excited to announce its annual fundraiser to be held on December 6, 2024, at The Gage, 1139 S 70th Street, West Allis, WI.
This year’s event will focus on veteran’s mental health and recovery-oriented peer support for veterans living with a mental illness or substance use disorder. Wisconsin is home to at least 325,000 veterans. Nearly one-third of those veterans live in the southeast part of Wisconsin. Veterans suffer disproportionately high rates of suicide, mental illness, and addiction compared to their civilian counterparts.
We need your help to increase veteran peer services and reduce veteran suicide rates in Wisconsin. Your sponsorship will support MHA’s peer support services for veterans, provided through the operation of our Veteran Rest and Recuperation Respite House (R&R), a 24/7 peer-run respite for Wisconsin veterans. R&R House provides on-site peer support for individuals looking for a short-term residential stay as well as other support services for vets and their families.
