7:30 PM
Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Rd., Brookfield, WI 53045

Free and open to the public: an open forum on the topic of violence.

Shootings in schools, movie theaters, shopping centers, and elswhere have traumatized the nation. But the face of violence is not just about shootings. Bullying in the schools, domestic violence, elder abuse, sexual abuse and other forms of violence are rampant.

Does a Christian/biblical worldview offer special insights on violence? What can we understand about the spiritual and emotional sources of violence?

You are invited to a 75-minute open forum, Sunday, March 10, at the Elmbrook Church Chapel. Panelists will include Dr. Matt Gibson, former superientendant of schools, Elmbrook School System, Kristina Finnel, President and CEO of Mental Health America of Wisconsin, and Dr. Mel Lawrenz, Minister at Large for Elmbrook Church, and others. We will explore the spiritual, social, and mental health dimensions of violence in our society.
