Internship Opportunities

  • Provide support to parents & pregnant woman with mental illness and/or substance use
  • Gain clinical experience with assessment, treatment planning and intervention
  • Education and practice in maternal and infant mental health
  • Clientele is primarily women 18-35 though our work often extends to the family of our identified clients' (children, partners, other supports).
  • We work in partnership with Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services and Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Department, as well as other community partners organizations.
  • Learning opportunities in other departments such as Information & Assistance, Suicide Prevention, and Policy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
  • Vehicle, valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance coverage
  • Knowledge of mental illness
  • Experience working with families and with people with mental illnesses is recommended
