REDGen which stands for a new generation built on resiliency (formerly known as RED2 or RED) was started late July 2013 after several suicides occurred in the North Shore Communities of Milwaukee. We are a community action group consisting of mental health professionals, school faculty and administrators, pastors and members of interfaith congregations, parents and community members, college faculty, staff and physicians.  Together, we help promote a healthy generation of resilient youth and families. We hope to redefine success by promoting healthy choices. We are having conversations around mental health topics and forming connections to decrease the stigma associated with mental health. We also serve as resource in our community when people need to find mental health support.
